STOCK BROKER

Do you have excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure? Are you comfortable dealing with risky situations and can you make quick decisions based on instant mental math calculations?
If you are, then you just might have what it take to become a stockbroker.
As a stockbroker you will be responsible for imparting information about stock prices and market analyses to your clients on a minute-to-minute basis. You will be required to provide accurate and fair investment and trading advice to your clients regarding where and when to invest and what stocks to buy or sell.
To become stockbroker you should at least be a graduate, although some corporate entities demand business graduates from top business schools who are at least 21 years old. You should also have a clean legal record and not be a bank defaulter. Experience of not less than two years in a related field, such as banking, accountancy or a in a broker’s office is also a pre-requisite.
As a stockbroker you can either work for a corporate entity run by professional managers or for an individual member, registered at the stock exchange. Corporate entities provide a better working environment, training facilities and career growth.
Based on your experience and the brokerage house you join, you can expect a five figure salary plus annual commission. Some brokerage firms do not pay a monthly salary but compensate with a monthly commission, which moves up with the volume traded and works out to more or less the same as the prevalent monthly salary.
